Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge Scenic Railway trips last 4 hours (3 ½ hours on Sundays) and cover 26 miles of beautiful terrain. Guests will be able to take in the sights seated in climate controlled rail cars or open air rail cars. Rides begin at the Scenic Railway depot in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Known as the “antique capital” of Georgia, Blue Ridge is famous for its rustic charm and friendly people. The first leg of the trip consists of a one hour tour along the spectacular Toccoa River.

McCaysville and Copperhill

After enjoying the natural beauty of the river, the train takes passengers to the sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. Located along the GA/TN state line, McCaysville and Copperhill are essentially one town with two names. Guests on the Blue Ridge Railway will have a two hour stopover to explore these charming towns. McCaysville and Copperhill have a great selection of craft shops, ice cream parlors, restaurants and more. The trip ends with another hour along the gorgeous Toccoa River as the train returns to the station at historic Blue Ridge.
